PROJECT

This section is dedicated to the projects I have created for my coursework related to the field of marketing, the extracurricular activities that I have participated in, and the Fort Hamilton High School Virtual Enterprise program. Feel free to take a closer look at the work I have done.

Project: Welcome

Web Design Projects

Personal Brand Website

Created a Personal Brand Website using WordPress. The website consists of my dream job, five career-related projects/images, an introductory video, and a blog post of why you should hire me. Aside from doing the bare minimum, I added testimonies from old classmates whom I had worked with on presentations on my websites and added a gallery consisting of a yearbook I created in the Fort Hamilton Virtual Enterprise Program. I had also aided fellow classmates in navigating through WordPress.

HTML Page Creation

Created an HTML page containing what I had learned in the course. I provided a detailed summary of every topic taught in the course. Provided documentation and simple animation of work done in the class. In addition, researched and applied further HTML elements to the project that was not taught in the course. Such elements were a sidebar, linking other HTML pages to the home page, creating image border, colored button, and scroll back to top button.

Disney+ SWOT Analysis Presentation

Created a SWOT Analysis Presentation on Disney+ with fellow classmates. My main task was to design and provide the layout of the presentation and to photoshop the Disney+ website, and social media page onto computers, posters, and phones. In addition, I provided the necessary information on the type of promotions Disney+ use, the brand logo (color palette and font), the threats toward Disney+, and the recommendations to prevent such threats.

Resist Regenerate Recycle

Resist Regenerate Recycle is one of many programs in the W.O.W Project, which mission is to sustain ownership over Chinatown's future by growing, protecting, and preserving Chinatown's creative culture through arts. The main project focused on the Resist Regenerate Recycle program was to create the Chinese Lion head from scratch in the upcoming Lunar New Year. I work with the other RRR fellows and artists to create Lion's head shown in the picture to the left. In addition, to learning the traditional lion dance for the Lunar Year's celebration.

McKinley Junior Virtual Enterprise

McKinley Junior High School has a Junior Virtual Enterprise Program in which a few of my fellow co-workers and I visited and spoke about the Fort Hamilton Virtual Enterprise program. I coordinated this visit with the collaboration of the Vice President of Human Resources to create a presentation in which the team was going to present. We explained to the students the multiple activities, competitions, and exhibitions the company had partaken in. In addition to the daily operations of each department, what opportunity Fort Virtual Enterprise offers, and what the company was about.

Virtual Enterprise Yearbook

Teacher appreciation week was right around the corner. Instead of getting a gift for the coordinator of Virtual Enterprise. I decided to create a yearbook consisting of guest lecturers, staff members, awards won by the company, funny moments, trade shows, and so forth. I coordinated the project with the assistance of two of my fellow co-workers in order to get this project done within 2 days of the deadline.

L.I.U Newsletter Competition

The L.I.U Newsletter Competition for Virtual Enterprise required firms to showcase their company updates through the submission of a company newsletter. I was responsible for the layout of the newsletter and was assisted by the Human Resource Department to create the content within the newsletter. The document contained the company mission, the executives, business plan update, department updates, and employee highlights. In the competition, this newsletter won gold at the L.I.U exhibition.

Digital Binder

The digital binder was to educate and aid future graphic department staff on how to utilize company equipment. Such as how to create buttons used during exhibitions, how to use Avery.com to print business cards and badges, and how to print the company envelopes. This document was intended to aid the department so that future staff members did not have to waste both time and resources trying to figure out how to operate the tools. The document involved verbal and visual demonstration on how to operate certain equipment. In addition to advice on what programs they can use to edit photos if they did not personally have Adobe Photoshop.

Promotional Flyers

Fort Hamilton High School Virtual Enterprise Program enabled me to create multiple promotional flyers. These flyers were then emailed to clients as a way for them to become aware of the holiday special the company was offering. In addition, to distributing the flyers during the exhibition. Here are just a few I have created:

L.I.U Trade Show Booth

The L.I.U (Long Island University) exhibition for Virtual Enterprise hosted a booth competition. I worked with the Cheif Marketing Officer, Vice President of Marketing, and Vice President of Human Resources to create this booth. As a group, we decided on a winter theme with lights and snow as the competition was during the winter season. We had to decide where to place the items on the table and consider the overall look and presentation. We took careful consideration on how to entice the potential customers to come to our company booth and purchase products to earn rewards, such as pins, stress balls, tote bags, and potentially win in the eco dot raffle. This project resulted in our company winning silver in the competition.

L.I.U Branding Competition

The L.I.U Branding Competition for Virtual Enterprise created an opportunity for companies to revise the National Branding Competition document and allowed my company to take 1st place in the competition. The task given was to create a branding package consisting of the company logo, fonts, color palette, company letterhead, company description, business card, website, and social media platforms. Though, I had done this project for the national branding competition at the beginning of the year. I had revised and improved the document by photoshopping images, such as photo editing the company's social media platforms onto electronic devices.

Video Commercial

The Video Commercial for the Virtual Enterprise program was to inform potential customers about the company and what we sell. I directed this project with the assistance of my fellow co-workers to create a script for the commercial and shoot the commercial. The commercial involved the top executives of the company speaking on behalf of the company. However, due to the low budget, our school provided for this program and bad timing, we were not able to create the commercial to its highest potential. Thus, allowing the commercial to be placed in the top 25%.

Advertising Futures Competition

Being the second competition of the Virtual Enterprise program and taking 5th place in the competition. The task given was to create a campaign to help end hunger during the holiday season using different platforms to raise awareness. I collaborated with other students to brainstorm ideas and created an 18-page Powerpoint presentation. Working with Publicis Groupe every Thursday, they assisted us and gave us insight into the advertising industry. My main job was to provide the layout of the presentation, create ads, and photoshop the ads onto social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram and onto bus stops and trains.

National Branding Competition

Being the first competition of the Virtual Enterprise program, the task given was to create a branding package consisting of company logo, fonts, color palette, company letterhead, company description, business card, website, and social media platforms. The project had won honorable mention due to the fact that we were still a brand new company that was tying up the loose end when the competition had rolled around.
